Each year, we produce public events that connect the public and our scientists. We also offer several targeted programs designed to provide research experiences for area students and teachers, especially those from populations that have been historically marginalized in the sciences.
For the general community
We offer the Fearless Science Speaker Series, where you can hear from Institute researchers discussing innovative biomedical research. Several events through the Wisconsin Science Festival are also open to the general public, and many of our scientists can be engaged to speak at public events.

For youth and educators
The Rural Summer Science Camp and Summer Science Workshop Series provide immersive experiences for high school students to work alongside Institute scientists. We also offer mentorship and apprenticeship programs for students to obtain valuable training for future STEM careers. Several field trip and afterschool programs are also available through our Discovery Outreach partnership.

Rural Summer Science Camp
The Rural Summer Science Camp is a unique program in Wisconsin for underserved high school students. Students spend a week learning from leaders in stem cell research, a field that UW–Madison and Morgridge helped make famous.

Summer Science Workshop
In response to the challenges of restrictions in place during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Summer Science Workshop was created as a modification of the Rural Summer Science Camp. The workshop series brings students and teachers “face-to-face” online with scientists from the Morgridge Institute from Research.

Partnership Programs
The Morgridge Institute is proud to co-lead Discovery Outreach, a joint partnership between the Morgridge Institute for Research and the Wisconsin Alumni Research foundation.
For families
You can find a myriad of programming through the Wisconsin Science Festival each fall, and Saturday Science programs offer new programming each month for families to explore.
