In response to the challenges of restrictions in place during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Summer Science Workshop was created as a modification of the Rural Summer Science Camp. The workshop series, which completed its first round in July 2020, bring students and teachers “face-to-face” online with scientists from the Morgridge Institute from Research.
Through weekly zoom calls over six weeks, students participate in digital workshops that lean heavily into storytelling and the diverse paths leading toward a career in science. Participants engage with scientists working in metabolism, regenerative biology, medical imaging, medical engineering, and more.
You can view workshop sessions at our Vimeo channel.
