Becca Beets is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Life Sciences Communication at UW-Madison. Her research broadly examines emerging and controversial areas of science, with an emphasis on understanding the relationships between public opinion, communication, and engagement. Becca’s dissertation research uses mixed-methods to explore how scientists and lay publics understand scientific uncertainty.
