I am a mitochondria enthusiast deeply interested in the protein complexes that are crucial for proper functioning of these fascinating organelles. I graduated from Gdansk University (Poland) where I studied involvement of the frataxin protein in the biosynthesis of iron-sulfur clusters which are indispensable prosthetic groups of many proteins. Recently I joined Dave Pagliarini’s Lab, which efforts are dedicated to the elucidation of the functions of still uncharacterized mitochondrial proteins.
