Protect the American Research Partnership
Since the end of World War II, the federal government and higher education have formed an alliance to fuel scientific discovery. The resulting quest for new knowledge has made America the world leader in innovation, producing advances that save lives, enhance quality of life and create high-quality jobs.
But substantial cuts proposed this year to the federal agencies that foster research, especially the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Science Foundation (NSF), could jeopardize this great American success story.
