I am a Morgridge postdoctoral fellow studying the role of tumor microenvironment in tumor evolution and progression under the direction of Dr. Melissa Skala . I am working with Dr. David Beebe and Dr. Kari Wisinski , in the Wisconsin Institutes for Medical Research to generate advanced microfluidic cell culture platforms to recreate the tumor architecture. We are using different optical microscopy techniques, like Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM), to study the cell behavior within our microfluidic cell culture systems.
The Morgridge Postdoctoral Fellows Program recruits candidates mentored by both a Morgridge Institute principal investigator and a UW–Madison faculty member, and fosters collaboration in the Morgridge focus areas, including Regenerative Biology, Virology, Medical Engineering and Computation in Biology.
